Hello, nice to meet you.

As a South Asian Registered Clinical Counsellor born and raised in Surrey, I understand the beauty and complexity of navigating multiple identities, cultures, and expectations in our communities.

Witnessing my family's journey has shaped my appreciation for resilience, sacrifice, and the impact that social systems have on our wellbeing. This is why I became a clinical counsellor. I have over five years of experience as a teacher and am currently working as a school counsellor, which has deepened my understanding of the school system and strengthened my commitment to advocating for diverse student needs. I have a strong passion for advocacy and inclusion from an early age, and this continues to influence how I create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Learning and Developmental Disabilities, a Social Justice Certificate, and a Master of Education in School Counselling. This education continues to shape my anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach to counselling. I believe therapy should be collaborative, empowering, and tailored to each person's unique story and personality. My work is grounded in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with an integration of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), somatic-informed approaches, and other evidence-based practices, all delivered with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity.

Outside of the counselling room, you'll often find me spending time at the gym, walking my dog, exploring new restaurants and cafés, travelling, or unwinding at a spa. I believe that caring for ourselves and nurturing meaningful relationships allows us to show up more fully for ourselves and for others. I strive to bring that same sense of warmth, connection, and presence into every therapeutic relationship.
